What is the Classic Racing Car Club?
We are a non-profit racing club established to facilitate the running of the ‘Jochen Rindt Trophy Race’ at the 2021 Thruxton Historic festival. The success of the event exceeded all expectations and has continued in 2022 & 2023. In the recent event run over the weekend of 17th 18th June 2023 the spoils were taken by former Formula Ford Festival winner Rory Smith in his spectacular Ralt RT4 Formula Atlantic. Rory didn’t have it all his own way however with opposition from Antony Hancock, Chris Porritt and Benn Tilley pushing him all the way. New for the CRCC in 2023 was the Pinto Challenge an all Formula Ford 2000 event featuring cars from all ages from 1975-89, which took place at Thruxton on 30th July. Jordan Harrison took overall honours In his Lola T580 from Benn Simms’ Van Diemen RF82 in two fabulous races.
